HAJJ 2026 – Pilgrimage to Mecca – Muslim Women

Hajj is considered one of the five “pillars” of Islam. Muslims are required to make the pilgrimage once in a lifetime, if they are physically and financially able to make the journey to Mecca.

The ritual of Hajj unites Muslims of all nationalities, ethnic groups and backgrounds to stand and worship together in the eyes of God.The pilgrims are given special garments to wear which are meant to make them appear as equals, despite wealth and status.

Hajj 2026 is expected from 24–29 May 2026 (8–13 Dhul Hijjah 1447 AH), with the Day of Arafah on 25 or 26 May and Eid al-Adha on 26 or 27 May, subject to moon sighting.

Hajj 2026 – Women – Search

For females planning to perform Hajj in 2026, key requirements include traveling with a Mahram unless specific conditions are met, valid documentation, and adherence to health guidelines.

Key Requirements for Females

1.       Traveling with a Mahram:

• Females under 45 years of age must travel with a Mahram (a male guardian such as a husband, father, brother, or son). 
• Females aged 45 and above from the Fiqh Jafaria sect can travel without a Mahram. 
• Women of any age can perform Hajj without a Mahram if they are part of a female-only group and submit an affidavit as per the Islamic Ideology Council’s ruling. 

2.              Documentation:

• A valid passport with at least six months of validity remaining is required. 
• A recent passport-sized photograph (4.5×3.5 cm) with a white background is necessary, and the photo must not be scanned or polaroid. 
• A token of the new passport or a copy of the International Machine Readable Passport (IMRP) must be submitted. 

3.              Health Requirements:

• Complete COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory for individuals aged 65 years and above, while those below 65 are exempt. 
• It is advisable for all pilgrims to be in good health and physically fit to undertake the pilgrimage. 

4.              Application Process:

• Applications for Hajj 2026 can be submitted starting from August 11, 2025, until the quota is filled. 
• Ensure to register through official platforms or authorized agents to avoid fraud.
