Syria – Evacuation of Al-Hawl Camp Families of ISIS Prepare to Leave for Iraq
Al-Hasakah province: 167 families of ISIS members, comprising nearly 618 people, are preparing for leaving Al-Hawl camp in north-east Syria for Iraq.
This coincides with the ongoing efforts to facilitate the voluntary return of Iraqi families to their country in coordination with the Iraqi authorities with the aim of improving the living conditions of families who desire to return to their areas.
On February 11, SOHR sources reported that 45 Iraqi families left Al-Rouj camp in Al-Malikiyah countryside for Iraq. This will be the first batch of Iraqi families to be evacuated from Al-Rouj camp in years.
On the other hand, a batch of 58 Syrian families of nearly 300 civilians has left Al-Arishah camp in southern Al-Hasakah, heading to their areas in Deir Ezzor province.
