Background:
You are being asked to participate in this research project because you are a Muslim woman living in Canada who is 18 years of age or older.
Purpose:
The purpose of this research project is to conduct a multi-method analysis of Muslim women’s perspectives on their participation, abilities and relationship to sport and exercise. Surveys with Muslim women who are or are not involved in sport will provide a more comprehensive analysis on the various ideas Muslim women have about sport and exercise.

● Your participation in this study will take the form of an online survey.
● If you choose to, you will be asked to leave your email address for a possible interview or focus group.
Benefits & Risks:
● Although there may not be any direct benefits for participating in this study, your contributions will enrich the research by contributing to a better understanding of the various reasons Muslim women engage in sports and the associated perspectives that they have. The quantitative aspect of surveys will contribute to understanding the heterogeneity within Muslim women and can provide the framework for comprehensive approaches to understanding the sociology of sport.
● There may be risks to being in this study that are not known. If anything happens during the survey that may affect your willingness to continue, you may stop the survey at any point.
Voluntary Participation:
