We are happy to anounce the online launch of our 2017 campaign Kit: “17 Days of Activism for the empowerment of rural women leaders and their communities 1-17 October 2017.
We invite you to join the campaign and express our thanks to all coalition partners that did so last year. The 2017 version has been redesigned and provides updates and a new look and feel of the Empowerment Kit. – Link to log in page
We thank you in advance for your interest in being part of this annual initiative and invite you to celebrate with us on 15 October – International Day of Rural Women – the 2017 Prize winners of our annual award for women’s creativity in rural life (432 laureates awarded to-date).
The main theme 2017 is about the “UN Declaration on the Right to Peace”, which is published in the Kit for you to use in your advocacy, to lobby your government, and to invite your media to share it with your population. It’s Time for Peace!
The Empowerment of rural women and the advancement of their status around the world are an urgent requirement to help reduce extreme poverty and ultimately end hunger, violence and discrimination.
