Global Civil Society Calls for Renewal of the UN Mandate on Human Rights Defenders – Women Rights Defenders

The issue of sexual violence against humanitarian and development workers is increasingly being highlighted in the media, attention that is long overdue.
As more stories emerge, it encourages more survivors to come forward and more humanitarian and development organisations to get behind the idea that they are obligated to prevent sexualized violence, to enact protections for employees and recipient communities, to provide all necessary support to those who have been victimized and to end the culture of impunity for offenders.
Each of these articles represents a step forward to creating change within our industry.
