national Daisy Goldsmith, 16, recently became the youngest referee for the
International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), earning her a place in
the Guinness World Records.

Goldsmith
started playing football when she was 10 years old and has always wanted to
become a referee. In December 2009, she undertook a two-week accredited
training course to qualify as a referee for under-11 football matches. Later,
she attended the Football Association exams and officially became a FIFA
football referee in March 2010.
