The Temple Committee Against Human Trafficking (TCAHT) and
the ATZUM Task Force on Human Trafficking have partnered on a campaign
calling on the Israeli government to pass legislation that
criminalizes the demand for commercial sex. Peggy Sakow, Co-Chair
of TCAHT recently traveled to Israel where she received positive
feedback regarding the feasibility of the passage of this legislation.
Peggy
has impressed upon me that letters of support from the international community
are both effective meaningful to this effort. It would be wonderful if you
could generate a letter in support of this legislative campaign on behalf of
your organization. These letters should be addressed to the Minister of
Justice, Yaacov Neeman at the Knesset. I have pasted below, CATW’s
letter to this email. Please feel free to use CATW’s letter as a model. All
letters should be sent directly to Peggy at human@templemontreal.ca, and
time is of the essence. Warmest
regards, Norma
