Young Rubina Empowers Women Through Education
Rubina is one of more than 20,000 youth volunteers committed to ending hunger in Bangladesh. “I am a student, and through my sincere efforts, I realized that I could help the women from my village become educated,” she says.
Rubina went house to house urging the women to attend her classes. At the beginning, they couldn’t read or write their names. Now they can. And they feel self-confident and inspired about their future. “I want everyone in our Bangladesh to be enlightened by education, to enjoy good life and become self-reliant.”
