A working year in a prostitute’s life –Setting focus on human trafficking and prostitution. The 60 meters long sculpture- consists of 550 male figures and one female figure all unique and made of bronze. The sculpture is an artistic staging and visualization showing a working year in a prostitute’s life. The 550 men is an average number of men a Nigerian prostitute is with over a year in Vesterbro (a neighbourhood in Copenhagen). These numbers refers to both the women prostitutes who are in this line of profession by choice and those who has been forced in to this profession. As many as 270.000 women, children and men lives as sex slaves in the larger cities of Europe. In Denmark we see this especially in Vesterbro, Copenhagen, where primarily women from Eastern Europe and Nigeria are visible in the streets.
